Kevin Clancy | Utopia or Oblivion

Tinted windows filter the sunlight. Neon on the ceiling, color covering the colorless hands. Calming music. Everything is out in the open. Hands of a manikin, cobwebs, smart phones, wires, and stuff. It’s like being in the future, 2021 plus two. 

The grids reminds me of that Sci-fi movie The Matrix or something like that. The reflection in the pink is like looking into the mirror of The Wizard of Oz.

I don’t know why I keep thinking about lofts, but if I had a loft I would decorate it like this. While great as an installation, these pieces can also work individually. The hands and faces are white to be the presence of all colors. I am thinking about color through my physicist side of the brain. 

Different spin on the idea of technology, makes you question how extraordinary life really is. It’s nice to look forward to new technologies, and not look back at say the 60s and 70s.
