Achieva is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating with, empowering, and supporting people with disabilities and their families throughout every stage of life. Since its founding in 1951 by a group of determined family members, Achieva has been driven by a shared vision: ensuring that people with disabilities have the same opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive as anyone else. That vision helped spark a broader movement - one that continues to challenge barriers and expand inclusion across communities nationwide.
Today, Achieva remains the only organization of its kind in southwestern Pennsylvania providing lifelong supports for people with disabilities. Headquartered in Pittsburgh’s South Side, Achieva serves people with disabilities and their families across Allegheny, Beaver, Westmoreland, and Erie counties.
Through a wide range of programs, including Early Intervention, Family Trust services, Advocacy and Family Supports, Competitive Integrated Employment, Community Supported Living, and VaultArt Studio, Achieva is committed to helping people lead lives of personal significance.
